Eupatorium perfoliatum-Boneset

Boneset attracts an impressive number of pollinators with its clusters of fuzzy, flat-topped white flowers that adorn the top of the garden from mid-summer into early fall. A true ecological powerhouse, it buzzes round the clock with pollinators of every variety while acting as larval host to numerous species of moth and butterfly. Its dark green, highly textured leaves are opposite one another along the stem and fused together at the base, providing unique visual interest along with height and structure to the back of the garden. Boasts attractive fall foliage colors of yellow, red and orange. Used for centuries in traditional medicine to treat a variety of ailments.
