Ozark Bluestar forms tight clusters of star-shaped light blue flowers that appear in April and May when pollinators are limited to only a few food sources. It is a great addition to all well-drained soils in full sun to part shade, though it may need staking in shaded gardens. It forms an erect shrub-like mound with narrow, glossy foliage that turns a brilliant golden hue in the fall, providing excellent late-season interest.
