Whorled Milkweed has the most delicate, narrow leaves of its genus and blooms later in the season, even into the fall. It’s upright, unbranched stems sport whorls of needle-like leaves at each node and end in clusters of fragrant, star-shaped white flowers with small, curled petals. Its nectar attracts just about every pollinator imaginable and it plays host plant to the Monarch butterfly, providing food and habitat at every point in their lifecycle. Thrives in full sun to partial shade and in any well-drained soil. Deer and rabbit resistant.
