Sky Blue Aster brightens the garden in late fall and summer with plentiful, daisy-like blooms that provide an abundantsource of nectar for pollinators when most other plants have finished flowering. Additionally, its foliage plays host to the larvae of both the Pearl Crescent butterfly and the Wavy-Lined Emerald moth. Its leaves are heart shaped and larger toward the base of its multi-branching stems, becoming smaller and more ovoid further up. Hardy and adaptable to all but the wettest soils, this easy to grow and non-aggressive aster is a wonderful addition to sunny gardens.
