Physostegia virginiana- Obedient Plant

Obedient plant boasts tall spikes of captivating pastel pink flowers with speckled interiors that call to pollinators far and wide. These visitors are a delight to watch as they crawl entirely inside the tubular flowers to reach the bountiful nectar housed within. Erect and clump-forming, this plant is low-maintenance and drought-tolerant once established. When pushed by hand to swivel in a new direction, individual flowers will obediently remain in their new position for a time, the characteristic that earned them their common-name. Remove seedheads and divide the colony to prevent aggressive spread.
