Plains Oval Sedge is hardy and highly versatile, thriving in all sun and soil conditions. Its slender, arching foliage emerges early in the spring to form dense clumps 1ft tall, adding a graceful, fine texture to garden beds and borders. In late spring and early summer its flowering bodies rise slightly above with green, ovoidspikelets that mature into golden-brown seed heads that provide food for songbirds. Deer and rabbit resistant
