Hairy Wood Mint is an adaptable, clump-forming native that is more well behaved (read: less aggressive) than other members of the mint family. It’s tiny white to pale purple flowers cluster in densely packed, tiered globules that rise in terminal spikes above dark green, hairy foliage and are pollinator magnets. It is sometimes called Hairy Pagoda Plant for the stacked nature of its flower clusters. Its blooms begin to appear in midsummer and persist into the fall, giving way to seed heads that provide food for birds and small mammals. Deer and rabbit-resistant
